In my experience I found CODE to be a very open and abstract university unlike anything else. I have already been to two other universities, they were exactly the same system, you go to class, you study, you do and exam and repeat.

CODE is not like that at all, right off the bad you are free to choose which work to do, how to do so and with whom. I studied software engineering which meant I had to code and debug and figure out problems on my own most of the time (of course professors are always there to help) but the more important aspect is whenever I got stuck I had a large access to experienced coder who would be more than happy to help if ever the need rose. Not to mention in tandem with that I had to manage my own startup with other CODE students which directly taught me soft skills such as team management, networking, sales, marketing and bunch of other skills that you would never learn in a traditional university.

By second year you are already experienced enough to enter the work force or start your own thing. Which is the case I noticed by the Second year most students stop showing up because they got full time employment already!

The only downside is that it can be a bit vague sometime on what should be done or who to go to. But that is to be expect from a young university like this one which I am sure they will iron out during the next few years.
