The Economics Master's program at Hohenheim is perfect for those who enjoy engaging with macroeconomic models. The program is demanding and requires prior knowledge from a Bachelor's degree. The first semester consists of mandatory courses where fundamental knowledge is established. Starting from the second semester, all courses are elective.
The lectures are interesting, well-structured, and all lecturers are competent in their fields. However, the teaching methods and equipment are somewhat outdated. Daylight projectors are used in some cases, exercises are solved on the board and the students copy the solutions. Nevertheless, the exercises are a good place to ask questions and prepare for exams.
