Beste Entscheidung meines Lebens
A game of patience and self organization
Having the opportunity to complete studies in other universities gave me a background and raised expectations about what to look forward to in a career. As I game design student I have the opportunity to face new challenges, and adapt to different mentalities, specially while being an international student. However, and I speak from my personal perspective, I can't avoid to feel a little let down by sometimes the lack of organization and biased structures from the game design path in general. Finding information about what is needed to complete the courses feels sometimes like a challenge, also one might feel important information is shared at inconvenient times/last minute. Some decisions by the professors feel imposed and it's the students that have to carry with the adaptation process. As international student it can sometimes feel really intimidating to fit in. Putting that aside, courses are helpful in general and I have gotten something from each of them, but I think they could be more tailored to fit what students are interested into, and paths for specialization could be designed.
Wie reagiert deine Hochschule auf die Corona-Krise?
Corona was s confusing time not only for the university but for the world itself. Maybe it was for the lack of in precense lectures that students like me felt a bit disconnected. Nevertheless, I think online courses where available and the situation was addressed from the first minute. Making sure students weren't exposed to any risk and following the general Corona measures at all times. Exams and courses were organised conveniently.
