Experience as an International student
Since I am an international student studying here, ill be describing my experience using English.
The main language for this course is German; materials, lecture and lab reports for each of the courses are in German language. Depending on the lecturers, some allows presentation to be held in English (in the hope to integrate the english language into the course).
The thing I like about BHT is that they offer variety of practical modules. This really helps me to get a hands-on experience in the laboratory and to get a better grasp of the subject taught during the seminar courses. Since the number of people during the practical courses are limited, people actually work in small groups and able to try different techniques. The professors and technicians during the labor are very approachable in assisting the course. But minus points were the laboratories equipment, they were quite old and not quite up to date, which sometimes is quite unreliable and critical in creating a report for the course.
Most of the classrooms were quite comfortable and designed for small group of students (20-30). So sometimes it can get quite crowded. They also lack in study rooms, where people can study (but study rooms are available in main campus, located 10-15min away).
This course is really fascinating, since as a student we learn quite a bit of everything for instance learning how the bioreactors work, operates to learning cell cultivation to the finest details of dna and rna isolation (among many others). With a plus of being taught with lecturers who are experts in their field. You can really learn a lot, but it can be quite overwhelming and intensive.
All in all I am quite satisfied with all the experience I gained until now. It has helped me to figure out, which field actually interest me the most.

Wie gut ist deine Hochschule digital aufgestellt?
The online semester ran quite smoothly, the lectures were done online, materials and videos and PowerPoints were posted online regularly.
The professors were really helpful in answering the questions in the discussion forum and also during the online lectures.
But there are still some difficulties in choosing the right platform for the online lecturers… some problems due to amount of participating students and or internet connections, resulting in the continuously disrupted lectures.
Currently the lectures were being held hybrid, (offline in the classroom as well as online). But I would suggest to join the lectures offline (in the classroom), since in some instance some lecturers offers a quick tour of the labs to show the equipment and interact with the other students.
