Well-balanced ecotoxicology program
A highly recommended program
As an international student, I can only talk positively about this study program. During the study years, enough time is granted so that students can identify their strengths. An extremely beneficial component of the study program is the 'Research Project Course' (RPC), which helps you dive deeper into a particular subject and is also a good starting point for the master thesis!
One of the aspects of this study program that I appreciate the most is academic upskilling. You get the opportunity to take part in various webinars and workshops which help in making you job-ready. Most of these workshops are about programming languages (which would take a lot of time if they are offered as a lecture) and teach you about technical Know-How.

- Good course content (especially the modules: models in ecotoxicology and risk assessment and management of chemicals), helpful lecturers and supervisors, connections for doing internships in companies.
- A longer semester-break would be appreciated. Also, it would be nice to have the subjects in the first semester split between first and second / third semester.
Wie gut ist deine Hochschule digital aufgestellt?
During the Corona years (March 2020 - March 2022), almost all courses were conducted online (except the lab courses and written exams). Course registration and de-registration also took place online. The connectivity and reachability during online lectures is almost always good. Students also get presentation slides and important documents via emails. So, in my opinion, students can study everything at their own pace from the comfort of their homes. Even post-Covid, many webinars and certification courses are conducted online to help the students hone their skills (such as programming with R and Python, GIS, etc.)
