Limit Subjects but fruitful course

In this program, there is no such subjects focusing on literature, art and culture. The class is mainly politics and history base and the time frame covers mostly modern or contemporary China.Even thought on the webpage, saying that the course will cover Eastern Asia, the reality is that most of the professor or lecturer are familiar with the topic of China mainly. Before Corona, there are some guest professor giving some lectures but now the institue provides mostly China's politics (CCP), philosophy, history of China ( this semseter covers Korea), and Chinese society ( China). If one wants a broader study, this might not be a good choice.

In those classes provided by the institue, one need to spend plenty of time on reading and generating one's research question. Which is said that, the program is more like a self-learning class and if one don't have some genral basic knowledge about the field, it might be a bit difficult to follow up the course. Teachers are happy to help student but you need to keep the close contact with them.
