Unresponsive staffs and profs
Communication: The course modules are OK, but most professors and office staffs are bad at communication. I have emailed many pros and instructors, barely got responses from them (or their secretaries). Many of my classmates had the same experience. I heard many people had very bad experience from the office staffs.
Lack of projects: I cannot speak of other courses, but for my course the professors mostly did not have enough projects and thesis topics to offer. I, with my other classmates, often had to wait six months to one year to find a suitable research project topic or thesis topic. This is demoralizing and adds a lot of overhead waiting time, making it harder for students to finish their studies.
Student organizations except for we4you are pretty useless and unresponsive. Alumni association, Stura etc. barely reply to emails.
Collaboration: Research in collaboration with industry is quite difficult in this university. I and many of my went through a lot of struggle to find a suitable department who are willing to collaborate with industry research. It is sad to see all the internal politics in the academia.
They take many international students, but do not provide enough support for them. Last but not the least, the certificates even for English courses are available only in German language. This is ridiculous.
Overall, the course is fine, but barely helps you to become an expert. The university is overly hyped. Well, maybe not in Germany, but at least in the region where it is situated. If I knew all these before I started my studies here and had better opportunities, I would most probably not come here. I am glad that I finished.

- The course is pretty generic, so students do not have to confine themselves in one field.
- The fact that the course is too generic is also a pitfall. The students struggle to find a focus. If one wants to become an expert in a specific field, maybe this is not the right course for him/her. Also, lack of projects available is bad
Wie gut ist deine Hochschule digital aufgestellt?
Before Corona, they did not have any digital systems. They had to stop all activities for 3 months in the beginning of the pandemic. Most people will struggle to believe that a German university can be this bad at digital teaching. Now things are a little better, but as mentioned earlier, their communication is bad.
