Bridges computer science and systems engineering
The course is really the door to many possibilities. Coming from computer engineering back ground, it has enabled me to see the possibilities and scopes of integrating computer based solutions to larger systems. I have learned what a system is and that computer/software is just part of of a rather complex entity.
Unresponsive staffs and profs
Communication: The course modules are OK, but most professors and office staffs are bad at communication. I have emailed many pros and instructors, barely got responses from them (or their secretaries). Many of my classmates had the same experience. I heard many people had very bad experience from the office staffs.

Overall, a weak experience
I cannot recommend the degree programme because the study structure is very restrictive. There are many compulsory modules whose sense can be doubted because they are either too specific or already known from the BSC.
Elective options are limited because the elective catalogue is very small and you can only choose 25 ECTS.

Sehr gut, aber verbesserungswürdig
Das Beste am Studium an der TU Ilmenau sind die Studieninhalte einiger Module und die Studierendengemeinschaft. Und das Schlimmste ist wiederum der Kursinhalt, denn es gibt 6 Pflichtmodule und 2 davon möchte ich nicht absolvieren, muss es aber tun, da sie Pflichtmodule sind und das gilt auch für die meisten Studierenden.
