Interdisciplinary focusing on natural sciences

I chose Global Change Ecology as I wanted to gain more specific knowledge in Ecology while staying interdisciplinary by having courses on societal and economical issues too - and that's what I got! 2/3 of the main courses are dealing with natural sciences primarily Ecology - some of them are super basic as multiple students don't have a natural sciences background, but as you can choose from a set of courses you can simply skip those. Overall, GCE encourages you to gain practical experience in the academic world by visiting science schools as well as in the business world by doing internships. Thereby, one is able to gain important experience for starting a profession later on. In consequence, most of us went non-stop into their first job, which was in all kind of different business sectors, governmental institutions or academia. Studying in an international study programme is super rewarding as you learn about different perspectives on global issues and will have friends all over the world afterwards.
