Great application based learning

The course of FSM is very practical & real-world oriented. One learns the "application" of taught courses. The approach of all professors is different but the aim of each is it to make the students think analytically and apply logic. Hailing from another country, I learnt the technique of writing papers through the assignments given. It taught me a great deal! Some subjects are taught by visiting faculty and these are blocked courses. It makes studying the course taxing and tiring but provides enough free time at hand to focus on other challenging subject's in the course.

The normal duration of the course is 3 semesters with 1 additional semester for students who have to study bridge subjects thereby making it 4 semesters for them. One drawback is that the bridge courses do not account for any credit points in the overall grade. This can be disappointing. It also makes studying the courses uninteresting for some. However, the subjects taught are interesting and worth dedicating time to. The professors are also helpful if one seeks their guidance.

Often the choice of subjects selected may not be offered of the are not many takers. This can be very disappointing since one doesn't get to study the subjects that one might be most interested in. Nonetheless, most subjects taught on a regular basis are quite good too.

The campus is simple and facilities are also decent. There is no grandeur and hence it helps to focus on studying the course.

The administration is also quite helpful. However, one suggestion that can be made to the University is to provide a semester ticket to the international students.

Overall, the course is good and so is the experience.
