The IPU Berlin is located right in the heart of Berlin. The campus, which can be found in the Moabit district, is located directly next to the river Spree, where you will find students and families alike sitting next to the water when the weather is nice. A central hub of academic life is the IPU library. It offers access to an extensive collection of literature in psychology, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and the social sciences. Quiet study spaces and digital resources support students throughout their studies, research projects, and final theses.
Thanks to its central location, the IPU Berlin is in walking distance from several forms of public transportation, which makes it easy to reach campus from districts that are farther away. A short walk away, one can find the Berlin-famous Tiergarten and Bellevue Palace, while shopping, restaurants and bars can be found in the immediate vicinity.
As part of university life, the student council offers a wide range of university groups and organizes evening events such as concerts or parties. Students also have the opportunity to attend evening lectures and events sponsored by the university.

Graduates of the programme can pursue careers in clinical, psychosocial, organisational, and academic settings. In clinical psychology, opportunities include psychiatric, psychosomatic, rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics, crisis intervention, refugee support, disability services, and schools. Many of these roles do not require a German Approbation license. In psychosocial counselling, graduates can work in addiction services, migration counselling, family support, elderly care, and assisted living. Beyond healthcare, career options include human resources, organisational development, coaching, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, consulting, NGOs, public administration, and start-ups. German language skills are important; IPU offers affordable psychology-focused courses (B1–C1). The degree also provides pathways to research, doctoral studies, teaching, and, depending on national regulations, psychotherapist or psychoanalyst training abroad

Bring back Psychoanalysis

Psychology (English track) (M.A.)

4.1

I am enjoying my studies in IPU Berlin. I am learning about new Psychoanalytic theories that I was previously not familiar with. I looking forward to finishing my studies and practicing Psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I'm leaning into studying Neuropsychoanaysis for my doctorate.

Super Erfahrung

Psychology (English track) (M.A.)

3.9

Psychology (English track) (M.A.)

3.3
