Best choice for me, my expectations and aims

I like the fact that this Master combines Middle East and Comparative Politics with Arabic. To me also the cooperation between the University of Tübingen and the American University in Cairo is unique. Students spend their third term at the partner institution. We also have a helpful Colloquium in the 3rd and 4th term (one in Cairo and one in Tübingen). The mandatory internship was very helpful for me and, if needed, Tübingen staff is helping out with ideas on where to apply.
Also not common is the fact that the master thesis and oral exam is supervised and graded by a Professor from Tübingen and a Professor from AUC.
Helpful is the staff availability. We were always able to address our concerns.
I would have loved to have a broader choice when it comes to the Arabic classes in Tübingen. Even though they try to do their best, there seems to be a shortage of staff at the AOI.
The Master is challenging but provides students with a very good basis for the job market. For me and my interests it was the perfect choice.
