The "bigger picture" master
If you want to gain further knowledge in theory, learn from your fellow students and get to know different perspectives on the past, present and future of human society, I totally recommend you to study PPE at Witten/Herdecke University.
Small classes (3-8 students in average), motivated, diverse professors.
In addition, there are various collaborations with international universities (Erasmus of course, and double degree programs).
Only the library is too small and didn't match my expectations, especially for study sessions I preferred to go to Ruhr University Bochum.
Furthermore, Witten is a lovely small city, located in the centre of Ruhr area with economic rents and nice cafes, restaurants and pubs (raum, Kimanji, Knuts, Klimbim just to name a few). In a few minutes you are in Dortmund, Bochum or Essen, and even Cologne is in reachable distance. Best thing: you can get there for free as public transport in North Rhine Westphalia is included in your semester fee.
