Hard studies pay off

Medical Photonics is a very special master course. For sure it will increase the level os stress, depression ..(lol), but in the end you have plenty of opportunities to express your abilities in all the sciences (safe to say so).
I came from a country with a lot of shortcoming materials for the sciences. Biotechnology was my background in my bachelor studies and I had not too much knowledge for photonics sciences. But I knew about University of Jena and also the famous developed optic science there. So I took the risk and applied for this degree. I might say that most of the materials I took were non heard for me before, but thanks to all the useful links uploaded in the Medical Photonics site, also the books I could find the Thulb library of the university, I made myself this degree a little bit easier. But, I have to say that there is a lot of effort that student MUST put during the master program, including not only the lectures and the seminars, but also the practical courses or different lab tours which are there to give a better understanding of everything is explained in the lectures. If I would start my semester from the beginning, I would have been more systematic and that is an advice I would give to everyone who would apply for this degree.
I know that it sound scary and difficult and it REALLY is, BUT, don't give up on being someone successful in the future, and don't do something you already are good at; TRY TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF!
