Fashion design: A step into creation
Starting my journey in Fashion Design has been an interesting experience so far. Admittedly, there’s not too much to say yet since I’m still in the first semester, but overall, it’s going well. I really like the structure of the program, starting with smaller projects like the pencil skirt and shorts, then moving into creating your own skirt. In the second semester, we’ll move on to dresses, and later on, to pants. This progression feels logical and gives a solid foundation to build on.
One challenge, though, is the lack of flexibility for students who can’t attend classes due to sickness or other reasons. It would be great to have online tutorials or recorded sessions to help those who miss a class catch up without falling behind.
Another downside is the shortage of equipment for example having only two irons, which can make things a bit tricky when working on projects when there are other semesters wanting to work there as well.
And One of the last challenges was how disorienting the organization felt when the semester started. It would have been helpful if the school provided a clear list of materials needed for the first few classes in advance. This way, students could have everything ready on time, avoiding delays caused by waiting for orders to arrive.
Overall I am exited to present my ideas and to expand my creativity and to build on that.

Wie gut ist deine Hochschule digital aufgestellt?
As for the organization and digital aspects, I find the multitude of apps and platforms for the school quite overwhelming. Having to manage so many different passwords and logins feels unnecessarily complicated. It would be much more efficient to have a single app—let’s call it a “Fresenius Facility’s”—where all the schools and tools like StudyPlus and Elias could be integrated.
Despite these minor setbacks, I’m enjoying the experience so far. The hands-on approach and gradual build-up of skills make it an exciting and rewarding start to this creative journey.
