Design (thinking) leaders of tomorrow

Next to the combination of design and management subjects, project cooperations with companies like BMW, SAP or the city of Munich are core parts of the study course Design Management. E.g.: I had a project cooperation with an Digital Agency and BMW to develop an innovative online/offline strategy for purchasing cars in the future. By using the design thinking approach and the personal guidance and experience of our professors and the agency I was able to develop a potential re-solution. All in all, the projects are learning by doing, and honestly by using all the know-how of the professors and cooperations, graduate students are excellent prepared for the future or (as it is well known) for the digital transformation.

Next to project cooperations, and design- and management classes the university offers also the change to participate in excursions. The president of the university took us to an excursion to Italy. Honestly, one of the best times in my study period. He is an expert in design theory and design thinking and it is worthwhile to listen him carefully. Participating in Italy increases my personal development, and I learned to scrutinize my own work to make it even more scientific valuable.

In a nutshell, if you would like to change the world, being part of the digital transformation, or looking forward for a design leader position I can highly recommend the study program. Of course, there are some tiny annoyances but I guess no-one is perfect. So, if you are interested, best contact the study advisors. They analyze your needs and offer you the possibility to contact students, professors directly. It is also possible to participate in classes before you make a decision. So, go on and learn how to change the world.
