Studying materials science is not only about a course study but it is the whole new world of materials and their properties. There are a lot of these properties all around us in our ordinary lives which we dont see how they should be seen. But after the study of this course you should be able to see the world around you (at least in context of what you studied and know) in a total different perspective. Because it would be to seeing the world according to the characteristics of those materials rather than the materials or the world. sometimes you might think of those properties on the atomic level (for instance light and matter interaction) while the other times you might see them as a material with a particular characteristic according to the temperature and pressure etc in the environment. Therefore, materials science and engineering could be your third eye of visualizing the world around you in a different way and it could also give you the ideas of how one can/ should perceive the environment other than the ordinary way.

If you are interested in any particular course you should check the language of instruction, like there are a few courses in german and other are in english
