Finding my place in a complex world
Studying International Relations at Karlshochschule was one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic journey. What I appreciated most was the programme’s combination of academic rigour and critical thinking with a genuinely supportive learning environment. The small class sizes meant that discussions were engaging and interactive, and professors were approachable and invested in students’ development.
The curriculum encouraged us to look beyond traditional theories and engage with diverse perspectives, including feminist, postcolonial, and critical approaches to global politics. I also valued the international atmosphere of the university, which brought together students from different backgrounds and created a truly intercultural learning experience.
Perhaps most importantly, the programme challenged me to think independently, question assumptions, and develop skills that have proven valuable both professionally and personally. Looking back, Karlshochschule provided not only a strong foundation in International Relations but also a unique educational experience that helped shape how I understand the world today.
