Good Solid experience
Overall good private university

The Munich Business School (MBS) js a private university located in Western Munich district Laim. Study requirements include inter alia a TOEFL test and an assessment center as it is nowadays standard for renowned business schools world wide.
Starting with the positive, MBS offers a comprehensive bachelor study in small sized classes. This small courses enabling strong interaction with your fellow students as well as your lecturers. The majority of the courses have a strong practice orientation and give you a good basis understanding of business. This results from that nearly all lecturers have a strong business background and know what they are talking about. While private schools in Germany are discredited as a guarantee for good grades, grades at MBS are given solely due to your performance. Compared to other universities (especially German Universitäten such as LMU, etc.), MBS puts a strong focus on group works and presentations - both essential skills in nowadays business world. Personally, I enjoyed learning an additional language most, which is a mandatory part same as the semester abroad. The strongest advantages of MBS are the international environment resulting from the high amount of international students and the business spirit.
However, there is also some potential for improvement. The Alumni network as well as the career center of MBS is rather inactive and was no help for finding an internship or a job. In addition, although the content of nearly all classes is relevant, some lecturers are not able to convey this content due to a lack of teaching experience and/or skills or to antiquated teaching methods. Also, a campus life does not really exist. MBS tries to change that with student clubs, guest lectures, and student parties, but, compared to other universities there is still some improvement potential.
Overall, I can recommend to study at MBS but you have to decide for yourself if you want to invest approximately 40,000€ in your Bachelor study. Interested students should join an open-house day or a normal day at MBS, so they can experience what it is to study at MBS.
