Hand in Hand durchs Studium, das macht Freu(n...
From 0 to something real
This study will take you out from comfort zone- at beginning you will not understand a lot of things at all. After few weeks you will start accepting this crazy journey and will be asking for more.
It will be no easy- there is a lot of Projects to make and new Software to learn, but with teachers help and YouTube tutorials you will be able to create a real Prototype/ Game. Of course, you will struggle, but I will open a small secret- in every study (if you really want to learn something good) you must do extra work.
If you expect that everything will be served on a golden plate-this is not a place for you. Teacher will be available to help you 24/7 (seriously- once I had consultation at 10. p.m.), but it doesn't mean, that you must do nothing. They will lead you individually, they are open for YOUR feedback, critique. They are FLEXIBLE- if they see that you are on time limit- they give you extra time or will optimize the task.
For this money, what you have to pay- probably you expect some extra secrets or already done Diploma without learning... but it's not like that. You will get particularly good service, individual approach, and possibility to not write 100500 exams and tests every month like in normal University.
Before I started to study here, I reviewed other offers from other Institutes, Universities, Schools. Of course, everybody tried to get in Köln, but competition there was tight. I decided to study here in HBK Essen, because price here is relatively low if we compare others, Studium Programm is officially accredited and
it's friendly to international Students (paper bureaucracy is not so crazy as in other Unis, but B2 language level is necessary).
The most important reason, why I recommend HBK ESSEN Game Arts and Design- from 0 experience or talent, it's possible to become a game designer / game artist. Yes, it demands a challenging work, nerves and excellent time management, but this is exactly what the Game Industry expects from you.

hier!
- Individual approach, incredibly helpful teachers
- Library is still relatively small
Wie reagiert deine Hochschule auf die Corona-Krise?
Everything works with Microsoft Teams help. No complains.
Some Gadgets (drawing tablets, mobile tablets, VR glasses) for Projects is possible to get from Uni, but Adobe Creative Suit subscription and good PC you must have it at home (but let's be honest- if you want to work in future in this Industry, you must already to have something).
