Film + Motion Design (B.A.)

Ich bin Erstsemester-Bachelorstudentin im Studiengang Film & Motion Design an der SRH Hochschule Berlin. Bisher habe ich die Veranstaltungen Dramaturgie, Regie, Photography Programming Skills, Photography Technical Skills, Typografie und Grundlagen der Produktion besucht. Da ich vor Studienbeginn noch nie mit Kameras gearbeitet hatte, war der Einstieg ziemlich intensiv – vor allem, weil das Vorwissen und die Erfahrung meiner Kommiliton*innen sehr unterschiedlich sind. My university experience gave me amazing friendships with future film collaborators and energetic, motivating professors who made every class inspiring. The lectures has given me a lot of knowledge, from the basics to more niece information. It’s actually the more niece experience the professors shared that stuck with me the most. It’s an open, playful university that takes the creative industry very seriously and I really appreciate that.

I learned some basics of scriptwriting, working with camera, sound, design and will delve into it more in future. For example, for now I learned how to write a synopsis, working with different Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and etc. I hope that I will learn more about working with script, camera and directing in future classes.

The course is designed to give you the basic training and guidance, and set you free to do your work on your own. The assistance from the lecturers helps a great deal but the lack of organisation leaves a lot to be desired. Timing of courses is very slow but picks up near the end of the semester, allowing you to work on your projects.
