My experience with studying **Film + Motion Design** has been both creatively challenging and highly rewarding. The program combines storytelling, visual design, and technical skills, which helped me develop a strong interdisciplinary mindset. From the beginning, I learned how to think not only as a designer or filmmaker, but as a visual communicator who understands narrative, rhythm, and emotion.
One of the most valuable aspects of the program was its hands-on approach. We worked on numerous practical projects, ranging from short films and title sequences to animated explainer videos and experimental motion pieces. These projects pushed me to explore different roles, such as directing, editing, animating, and sound design. This variety helped me understand the full production pipeline and discover my own strengths and interests.
The technical training was intensive but very useful. I gained solid experience with industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop. At the same time, the program emphasized concept development and visual thinking, which prevented the work from becoming purely technical. Feedback sessions and critiques were especially important, as they taught me how to present ideas clearly and accept constructive criticism.
Another key experience was collaboration. Many projects were group-based, reflecting real-world creative workflows. Working with people from different creative backgrounds improved my communication skills and taught me how to manage deadlines and creative differences.
Overall, studying Film + Motion Design gave me a strong creative foundation, a diverse portfolio, and a clearer understanding of how film and motion design intersect in contemporary media.
