Studying at CeMIS the interdisciplinary approach of the MA study programme and the focus on modern India as well as the international atmosphere with a well-balanced study surrounding at the centre appear to be really attractive, valuable and inspiring.
A student can study about India through various perspectives and comes across a wide range of debates and discourses by also having the possibility to choose a certain study focus within the studies of modern India.
Furthermore ’Modern Indian Studies’ at CeMIS provide the opportunity within its structure to study one semester abroad – for example in India – which might add an experience in a different academic environment and can also offer enriching insights and views on India.
I take it as an advantage to put one’s focus on one particular country – at times through a possibly helpful comparison – which consists of many diverse aspects a student can get to know throughout the study programme.
I can surely recommend this MA study programme to students who are keen on putting their focus on a very interesting country in Asia through a social sciences framed approach.

Ich bin froh über die sehr moderne Ausstattung der Seminarräume und Hörsäle. -
Für mich war es sehr einfach, Anschluss in der Hochschule zu finden. -
Ein paar meiner Dozenten kommen sogar aus der Praxis. -
Nur in Ausnahmefällen werden Vorlesungen bei uns abgesagt. -
Die Erreichbarkeit der Studiengangsleitung finde ich sehr gut. -
Ich habe während der Studienzeit ein Praktikum gemacht oder geplant.
