My experience as a M A student at CeMIS

M A Modern Indian studies program offered at Centre for Modern Indian Studies in the University of Goettingen has an interdisciplinary approach and this will a stepping stone for those who want to learn and conduct a serious research about contemporary India. Centre for Modern Indian Studies has faculties who are specialized in various disciplines such as History, Politics, Anthropology and Economics. Being a master student at Cemis I've had the opportunity to meet and share my ideas with academicians from different universities. Interdisciplinary orientation of MA program really helped me to mould my own research questions. Cemis also encourages its students to organize events that are related to the contemporary social and political issues in India. Our university has wonderful libraries with huge collections of books on India. Cemis is the best place for those who want to conduct serious research on contemporary.
