Founded in 2002 by 25 leading global companies, ESMT offers master’s, MBA, and PhD programs, as well as executive education across its campus in Berlin, various locations around the world, online, and in an online blended format.
Focusing on leadership, innovation, and analytics, our diverse faculty publishes outstanding research in top academic journals. The international business school provides an interdisciplinary platform for discourse between politics, business, and academia. Your degree is about more than just about learning in the classroom. Whether you are moving to Berlin to study or joining us online, on this page you can find out more about life as a student at one of Europe’s top business schools, and discover all the ways that you can involved.
The ESMT campus is where full-time students will spend a lot of their time, but remote students also have opportunities to visit. It is located in the center of Berlin – just steps away from Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a 10-minute walk from Alexanderplatz. The city offers numerous opportunities to explore museums, nightlife, cuisine, and the surrounding landscape. Access to endless other European cities is made cheap and easy, with night trains and flights of one to two hours available to all major European capitals.
On campus, you can participate in student clubs and other activities to grow your network and explore your interests with others. The small, intimate atmosphere allows networking opportunities between students of all degree programs.

Our university is highly well-positioned in the digital environment, offering a wide range of online services to support students in their academic journey. All important documents are easily accessible through the university portal, and seminar and course registrations can be completed conveniently online. Communication with professors and lecturers is also smooth and efficient via email or dedicated platforms, allowing students to quickly receive support and guidance when needed.

Ich bin ein großer Fan der ESMT. Man wird als Student tatsächlich bei allen Belangen ernst genommen und eingeladen Feedback zu geben. Der Studiengang hat einmalige Möglichkeiten ein Netzwerk aufzubauen und bietet Weiterbildungamöglichkeigen durch zahlreiche Events, Clubs oder Tagungen an.

It is very difficult to take the first steps as a foreigner when you want to work in Germany and Europe, but with an MBA, you can share your values based on your experience in the company and learn from great friends. I don't study with textbooks and use mostly PDF lecture materials downloaded from the school portal. Assignments are also posted on the website for evaluation. Some exams were taken digitally.
